Photography has been a hobby of mine for a while. My first camera was a 35mm film SLR Pentax MX, which was completely manual. Because the only piece of electronics on the camera was the light meter, it forced me to learn the basics of photography (speed, aperture, ISO and composition)
Back in 2008 I saved my money up and bought myself my first Digital SLR Camera, the Nikon D40x. It was a fantastic camera to learn photography on all over again and the pace at which my photography grew was amazing compared to the days of 35mm film. This was down to the fact that the results are instantly viewable rather than waiting for a roll of film to be used up and then sending it off for developing. This meant that I was able to quickly identify where I was going wrong and quickly learn new techniques.
Today, my camera is a Pentax K20D which is a semi professional camera, water sealed for ragged outdoors and superior build quality with loads of features and alot of manual control.
I use Flickr alot to display my photos to the world and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes photography. It’s great taking pictures and admiring them but it also great to get feedback and share your photos with other people. As well, I find Flickr a great site to talk with people that share my love of photography.
Here are my latest photos.
